HDP Cruiser

The H.D.P Cruiser vehicle visits specifically designated ‘hotspots’.  A ‘hotspot’, is defined as a place where youth meet on a regular basis and ‘hotspot’ examples include – skate ramps, parks and recreation areas, commercial shopping areas and inner-city public rest areas.

At these ‘hotspots’, H.D.P Mentors distribute healthy snacks and non-alcoholic beverages to young people, free-of-charge.  Mentors also talk with kids reinforcing the positive messages which the H.D.P stands for.  The Cruiser gives H.D.P Mentors an avenue to reach young people in a non-formal environment.
